The information is important to obtain because it will help you make your product in a timely manner, but it will also help you market your product to your customers appropriately.

Find out how long the manufacturing supplier has been in business. This can be extremely important because if they have not been in business very long you might have to help them with the start up costs for your particular supplies. This can result in being more expensive for your company and it might end up being cheaper to make the supplies yourself. Knowing how long they have been in business will also help you determine if the company is going to be dependable or not. The longer that they have been in business the more prepared they can be for getting your specific supplies.
