Increasing customer satisfaction

In any type of business, the most important of your business is your customers. The reason for this is that without the customers you would no longer have a business because there would be nobody buying your products or services. You are going to want to do everything that you can to keep your customers, so your best bet is to make sure that your customers are happy. One of the best ways to ensure that your customers are happy is to increase customer satisfaction overall.

Here are some tips that you can follow to help increase customer satisfaction in your business.

Tip one:
Make sure that you can be contacted. If you have a website, leave various ways for your customers to get in contact with you. Make sure that you are listed in the phone book so that your customers can easily find you. Print up business cards or something similar to hand out to your customers so that they can keep your entire contact information close by. Anything that you hand out for your business should have the information that your customers need to contact you, such as phone number, email address, mailing address, physical location, etc. If your customers can contact you easily, they are going to be happier because they can get their problems handled in a timely manner.

Tip two:
Offer your customers some special rates based on their loyalty, you can even call these loyalty rates. The discounts that you offer your loyal customers can range from 5% to 25% or more if you wish. You can even offer some customers higher discounts, if they are big loyal customers. By offering them a discounted rate, you are giving them what they need for a cheaper price, so of course they will be happy. This can also make customers feel special so that they will continue to return as customers because they are happy to have been singled out.

Tip three:
Talk to friends or family members to role-play with you. Get them to pretend to be a customer so that you can give them a quote on your goods or services. Make sure that they are brutally honest about what they feel they are paying, such as if the price is too high, if they can get a better deal somewhere else, or anything else that they think of. This way you might uncover something about your price and product when compared to your competitors that you were unaware of before. Uncovering this information can help you fix your price and product to make your customers happier.

Tip four:

Get your facts right. When you are talking to your customers, you want to be sure that you are giving them accurate information. If you do not have the right information and you lie to them, you can displease your customers. Instead of lying to them, be honest with them about not knowing what they want to know, tell them you will find out what they need to know within a certain time. If you do have to do some more research for your customers make sure that you follow through with it. If you do not follow through you will upset your customers even more than lying to them.

Tip five:
If your customer is asking for a quote, you want to get back to them as soon as possible. You do not want to leave them on your "To Do" list because your risk losing that business. When customers are asking for a quote, they are looking at other companies in addition to yours. To ensure that they are satisfied you want to get back to them as soon as possible, which also show them you have a prompt business.

Make sure that you listen to your customer's feedback and address any concerns that they might have. This will allow you to change any aspect of your business that customers are not happy with so that your customers will keep coming back.
