Keeping Pace with Business Marketing

Today's business marketing rules are different than they were in years past. Those rules that once focused predominantly on local and regional business marketing have now gone global, thanks in large part to the creation of the Internet. Internet technology has brought the business world closer together and nowadays, it's just as easy to conduct business across the globe as it is to conduct business across town.

If you want your business to stay afloat in today's highly competitive business environment, you've got to understand these changes and bring your business marketing strategies into the twenty-first century.

Every business owner knows that it's imperative to have a company web site, but what many don't fully understand is how to use this tool to maximize the company's exposure. You know your web site is out there on the Internet, but do others If they don't, your web site won't do you or them any good. You've got to let others know it exists. That's right - business marketing rule #1 is to advertise your web site address using all available resources. Put the URL on every piece of promotional material you publish - on your company stationery, on every employee's business card, on your signature line - include it everywhere you mention your company name.

Another way to increase your company's web site exposure is to take steps to increase its ranking within the various search engines. Creating useful keyword-rich content with links to your website is a great way to accomplish this goal. If you don't understand keywords and search engines, hire someone who does. It will be business marketing money well-spent.

How To Make Your Advertising Work!

Many believe that when it comes to advertising, it's a necessary evil.

At least that's how some businesses approach it. Some view it as simply a tool to showcase price and product while others see it as a way to counter their competitor's ads. Know what They're all wrong.

Here's what you should be thinking about when putting together an advertising campaign:

1) Who am I trying to reach
2) What medium will be the most effective to reach them
3) How much is it going to cost
4) What will my message be

Hard to believe: Some of my client's advertising approach prior to working with them was basically, "I have this amount of money to spend so how much can I buy with it" This was usually followed by a call to their favorite radio station, or to a television station carrying their favorite program and asking for rates.

Granted there are many, many choices when contemplating where to place your ad dollars and it can be very confusing given all the choices that are out there. Especially for example, when you call radio stations and every account executive tells you that their station is number one. That's why it helps to have experienced people on your side who can help you choose the best media mix for your ad dollars. Of course it make sense at this point to put in a plug for my agency, but if you want to get a better understanding of what is involved, refer to the four questions above. For example, "Who am I trying to reach" means who is your target customer Every retail or service oriented business has a target customer base and once you've established yours it will help in narrowing the list of possible media choices.

Five Ways To Maximize Profit In Resale Rights Marketing

Product creation is usually one of the first concerns of an internet marketer. Conceptualizing a profitable idea and formulating a marketing plan to sell it is a relatively exhausting task. Not everyone is gifted with the creative juices to come up with a cutting edge concept.

Fortunately, there's resale rights marketing.

Many internet marketers actually sell their created products either because they have squeezed them dry of all possible earning potentials, or they feel that they'll earn more by selling the master rights to the same. This has paved the way for resale rights marketing, which is an ingenious method of making profit out of others' works.

10 Killer Ways To Multiply Your Sales

1. When you make your first sale, follow-up with the customer. You could follow-up with a "thank you" email and include an advertisement for other products you sell. You could follow-up every few months.

2. You could upsell to your customers. When they're at your order page, tell them about a few extra related products you have for sale. They could just add it to their original order.

3. Tell your customers if they refer four customers to your web site, they will receive a full rebate of their purchase price. This will turn one sale into three sales.

The Get Dangerous Quickly Approach to Product/Service Training

In 2000 a computer distributor hired me to help them build a
software specialist sales team. The distributor had more than 100
"generalist" salespeople, but these salespeople were doing a poor
job of selling software. The distributor's management felt a team
of specialists could help jump-start growth in software sales.

This was a very interesting project for several reasons. First,
the distributor had SIXTEEN software products in its portfolio.

Online Book Marketing: How to Market Your Book Even If

What you do after you have written your book is as
much, if not more, important than the actual writing
of it. You can take a great book and poor marketing
and have very poor results. Conversely, I believe you
can take a mediocre book, market it well, and make
very good sales from it. The only limiting factor is
you. You probably think, "I'm a writer, not a
salesperson." That's true, but there are some very
simple things you can do to create a website that
sells your book.

1. Create a direct-response sales page for your book.
This doesn't need to be an extra site, your home page,
or anything extravagant. Devote your home page to
information about you or your most recent work and a
subscription form for a newsletter for your fans.
Create a secondary page, linked to from your home
page, that sells your book. But instead of simply
stating a few sentences about your book, either put up
a full book review or a direct-response sales letter.
Either way, at the end of the review or the letter,
you must ask your readers to buy your book. Put a
direct order link at the bottom of your page. Simply
asking for your readers to buy your book will increase
your sales.
