If you have a company, what is the fastest way to let people know about it? Do you tell all of your friends and family? It is easy to get these people to start purchasing products from you because they have a trust level with you. It is easy to trust individuals that you have built relationships with. As a company, customer trust can be hard to come by. In some instances you can quickly build it but you can quickly lose it as well thanks to a defective product or poor customer service. How can you build trust with your audience?

It all starts with your website. This is where you will inform your customers about your organization. Listen to what they have to say about your website and about your products. Feedback is one of the best things you will ever acquire from your customers and you do need to take the time to really listen to what they are saying in order to create better products and services for your customers.

Customers are always skeptical when they initially come to your website. This shows you that you must win them over right away so you can convince them to purchase your products or services. Since identity theft and online fraud are common occurrences, it is easy to see why people are hesitant to trust websites. If you are asking for personal information on your site, you must take the time to let your customers know that this is a secured site. There are programs you can purchase that will secure the transaction and when the site is secured, it will have a green color in the web browser window. Your customers need to see this in order to trust you.

There are some other things you can do in order to build trust with your customers. First, always provide your contact information to them. This shows them that you have an actual location and they can reach you on the phone, in person, via email, etc. People need to see that you are a "real" person and when you add contact information, it makes it much easier for them to see this information and to know that they can trust you.

Second, use customer testimonials in order to build trust. It is easy for people to trust a company when they are able to see other people trust them. Customer testimonials are wonderful way to build trust. You can add them by using a comment board on your website and collecting customer feedback. Another way to collect feedback is by using Google. You can list your business on Google business. You probably already are listed there, you just need to go in and claim it as your business. This is easy to do and it is likely that there are already user reviews about your company on Google business. Add these to your website to provide your company with user reviews so they can easily trust your company.

Third, list your product information. This will educate the customer and help them to learn more about your company and what you do. It is also a good idea to list a history of the company. How did you get started? How long have you been in business? Adding more information is a great way to help your customers to trust you and makes it much easier for you to educate them on the basic information without needing to talk to each person on the phone.

Fourth, always put the customer first. Remember that the customer is right, even when you know they aren't. You must be kind to your customers and you must focus on providing them with the right type of respect that they deserve. This is a great way to get them to come back and to build loyalty with your organization.
