How do you fair in the customer service game? Do you have customers that respect and appreciate your business? If you have people that are irritated with your company, they will spread the word and it can easily kill the sales for your company as well as hurting your company's credibility. You need to focus your efforts on being able to create stronger customer service so you can create a company that is successful and profitable. Your customers are your best ally and you need to treat them with respect and to ensure that they are happy or you will lose your company in a hurry. How can you find out if you are struggling with customer service? You need to start by taking a look at customer survey programs as they can help you to gather an honest opinion from the customers and it will be able to give you quality information about your customer service concerns and what the customers really want to see from you. Here are tips to help you create better customer service for your customers.

Proper Training
One of the reasons why you could be having issues with your customer service is because you are just throwing them into the lion's den right away. Take the time to really train your customers so they have the knowledge and experience necessary to help the customers. Some companies like Disney will actually take 6 weeks to train their summer employees as they want to be able to give them the knowledge they need to think on their own without always needing to rely on supervisors and their co-workers to help them understand some of the customer questions that they get. When you train people correctly, they will have more confidence in their abilities and can offer better customer service.

Listen to the customers
Many organizations start to get set in their own ways and they quit listening to their customers. You need to focus on giving your customers the attention that they want and deserve. If you use surveys, acknowledge the customers that you have heard them and that you are making changes. When people feel heard, they feel respected and it really does aid in giving you a stronger company. When you or your employees are not offering eye contact and other things, it shows the customers that you do not care and you are not really paying attention to them. Customers want to feel like what they have to say is important.

Loyalty rewards
Your customers will be loyal to the company if you will show them that you do notice them and you want them to feel appreciated. Offering a loyalty rewards program to your customers is a great way to help you in giving the customers what they want. Many of the loyalty rewards will offer free products to the customers over time or will be used just to provide your customers with some type of value for their continued support and service over the years.

The customer is right
When the customers have an issue, you need to really listen to them and make their time worthwhile. It is important that you show the customers that they are always right and that you are working to make them a fair deal if there is an issue. Really show them that you are committed to their happiness and focus on doing more than answering their questions as you are working to exceed their expectations. Going above and beyond is one of the best ways in which you can show your customers that you are listening to them and that you want to keep them as life-long customers.
