Where as internet marketing is just that you do all of your marketing through the internet. Whether it is advertising on other people's websites or by e-mail people about your company. The second thing is to know that it have been proven that you can get to more people through internet marketing then you can through mail marketing. The reason for this is because you can send e-mails to people a lot faster then you can send a letter. Statistics have shown that people that use internet marketing show an annual growth rate of 14.9% between 2006 and 2011 while Direct mail marketing will only see an annual growth rate of 6.3%. The third thing is to know how to make your direct mail marketing and your internet marketing effective. There are a lot of different ways that you can do this. There are a lot of different seminars and classes out there that will help you to get on the right track. In these classes they will help show you different tactics that will work the best for your business. For example if you have a small business that is locally ran you will probably be ok with direct mail marketing because the people you want to market the most are people in the community. The fourth thing you will want to make sure that whatever marketing you do that you make it noticeable but not to flashy. If people see flyers or websites that are too busy that will not know what they are a suppose to be looking for and end up throwing the flyer away before they even figure out what it is for. The best thing to do is to have your company name at the top in bigger letters then the rest of the page and then your have what your company is about and maybe even some of the specials you are running. The most important thing to keep in mind is to make sure that your marketing is noticeable but not over bearing.
