Great tips for inexpensive marketing

The following are some great tips for inexpensive marketing:

Tip one: Use the internet- the internet is becoming one of the best ways to get news about anything out. So whether you are sending an email blast, or just posting some ads on the web, the internet is a cheap way to advertise. You may want to look into affiliate marketing or pay per click marketing, as both are inexpensive ways to market on the internet. You can also try to do a viral marketing campaign online, these usually cost next to nothing if your product is good enough, and can create enough buzz, they will be very beneficial to you as well.

Tip two: Get a mailing list- A lot of times you can rent out a mailing list, and do a direct mail marketing campaign. You do have to pay postage, but this is typically an inexpensive way to reach a lot of homes. Also, because you can rent lists, you can switch to a new list if the one you are renting is not getting very good results. Or, you can create your own mailing list. You usually do this by having people sign up for one on your website, or by including people you know and offering incentives for people to join your mailing list.

Tip three: Get a billboard- a billboard is not expensive, and can be a great form of advertising. Usually you pay for the space, the cost to put it up, and then a monthly rental fee. This can be very insignificant compared to the huge results a billboard can produce. A lot of people see billboards, especially if you get a prime billboard such as one that is right on the freeway so that people who are stuck in traffic see your advertisement.

Tip four:Start an email sign up list where something is free- This is much like a mailing list, only even cheaper because now you are not paying for any postage, instead you send an email. So, what you do is you offer a free gift for people signing up for your mailing list. The gift can be information, it can be something tangible, or it can be a membership to something, etc. So, determine what you want to spend, and make sure that you are not giving away more than it is worth to get people on an email list. This is a very effective form of marketing, especially if you send something that generates interest, as this can lead to viral marketing. This is one of the most effective and inexpensive forms of marketing.

Tip five: Use some radio time- If you have something news worthy to talk about, you could get a lot of free publicity and marketing from radio stations and newspapers. Use holidays and piggy back off special events to get some radio time, television time, or recognition in the paper. This can be a great way to get your name out, introduce new products, or just get some good PR which always bodes well with marketing.

The above were just a few examples of some of the more inexpensive forms of marketing. You could always employ other methods if you find that they work for you. Often times the cost becomes relatively inexpensive because the results produce lots of sales that more than make up for the initial cost to market the product or service.

For the least expensive marketing with the best results, be sure to develop a great product or service so that it speaks for itself.
