How retailing and marketing relate

cashregister7769175.jpg Retailing and marketing are two different areas when it comes to running your business, but they are also alike.They have to work together in order to accomplish things and need each other to produce the best product and to help your business grow.

Retailing is when you sell several products at a certain location.It doesn't have to be a store but can be a kiosk, through the mail, or over the internet.Retail is what and where you are selling your product.

Marketing is the act of advertising.It is the act of letting people know about your product.When you are marketing a product you are selling your product to people and letting them know the benefits of the product.

In order to market a product, you have to have a product to sell and somewhere to sell it at.You can't just advertise something and then have no where for a buyer to buy it.That's where the retail part comes in.When you are marketing something and advertising it, you let people know where to buy it.You say come to our store for the best prices and quality of clothes around, or something like that.

When you are marketing your product or store, you want to make sure that you give an accurate description.It's kind of like when you go to buy a house and the seller says it has a huge master bedroom that is the best thing around, so you are really excited to see the bedroom, but when you get there you see it is big but is awkwardly shaped, has little closet space, and no bathroom attached.The seller would've been better off to say that there was a large master bedroom instead of telling you it was the best thing around.You have to make sure both your retailing and marketing is accurate.

Retailing and marketing are two very different things but they have to work together in order to sell a product.If you don't have very good marketing you won't let people know about your product, even if you have a great product, people won't buy it because they don't know about it.If you have really good marketing but not a very good product, you will let the whole world know about your product, but no one will buy it because it isn't good.When you are hiring people or are setting up or redoing your retail and marketing departments, make sure you get the best and have the best.The advertising you do and the product that you have sharply reflects who and what your company is and does.Make sure it's the best so people will come back.

If you run your company so that it has an excellent marketing department and an excellent retail side of things then it will do well.Customers love accuracy and honesty.If they are told something and then see exactly what they are told, they have a really hard time not buying it.Make your product something that your customers have to have by having a really good product and wonderful marketing.
