Every company is looking for new ways to market their organization. Like most companies the question "how do I find new customers" is one that is probably ringing in your mind all the time. As you are focused on marketing you really need to sit down and make some goals for yourself. These goals are going to help you understand your existing customer base along with searching for new customers. It is important that you understand how much your existing customer base really does for the company. There are a number of organizations that get so hung up on the customers that they don't have that they forget about the ones that they do have and all of the great benefits they provide to them.

Existing customers are your greatest marketing asset. Not only do they bring in the majority of your sales each month, these customers are actually responsible for finding new customers. Have you heard of referral marketing? It works when you have your existing customers submit you with a list of names that are in their network that they feel would be interested in your products. This is a list of hot leads and it is a good idea to act on these leads so that you can gain the right type of visibility for your company. The reason why referral marketing works is because you have already sold your existing customers on the products and now you will hit up their friends, who have likely heard about the products thanks to their friend that has talked to them. It makes that initial selling process much easier and you can really move right into the phase where you are talking about getting the person to purchase the product. To get your existing customers to provide you with a list of names you do need to work on giving something to the existing customer. Offering them something in return will make it easier on them to hand over a list of names to you.

Social media is new to some businesses but it is a great tool that you cannot afford to not be using! It is free and that in and of itself is a big opportunity for you to market your business. You need to look at the various ways in which social media is being used and you have to work on getting your information out there in the right way. Social media is focused more on customer relationships so you do need to look at how you can do this with Facebook and twitter. The trick is that you send out credible information to the customers and then you remain active on the site in order to keep people hooked. Don't spam them with too many messages but just send them information when you know you have a good thing to say.

Hold an event and offer product demonstrations or give our free products. While you may not be able to offer your product you can use promotional materials to help market your company. Look into different things that you can give out for free at a number of different events and it will really get your customers talking. You should consider hosting an event where you can offer product demonstrations to the customers and really get a chance to interact with them. Product demonstrations do give you a unique opportunity to connect with your customers and you will find that it is much easier for you to sell at an event like this than it is when you call people on the phone.
