1. There needs to be an executive summary. This is a summary that provides a concise overview of the entire plan. This is probably the most important section of the business plan. This is the first step you will take into the readers mind.
2. The market analysis is the next thing that will need to be in your business plan. The market analysis will illustrate your overall knowledge of the current industry.
3. Then you will need to put in the company description. The details here are somewhat important. This is the information that you will need to show about your product or service.
4. The organization and management section will be next. This will need to include the company's organization structure, management team profiles, the management styles, and the qualifications of your team and board of directors.
5. Then you will want to put in your market and sales management. This is where you will show what your plan is for creating, gaining and maintaining customers for your business.
6. Service or product line. In this area you will want to put out there what you want to sell to the consumer, whether it is a specific service, or a product. The information needs to be accurate and detailed.
7. Now it is time for the funding request. The reason that a company uses the business plan the most for is for funding. This is going to be where you put in detail what you will want to obtain through the funding you are asking for. This is amounts, reasons etc. This should be for current needs and future needs of financial backing the business will need.
8. Financials are next. This is where you will find your good record keeping will come in handy. You will need to show what money the company owes, and what they have or can have coming in.
9. Finally the appendix.

With this information in your business plan, you will find that the plan is more professional and efficient.
