Satellite TV. Wow. What a great thing. Satellite TV is something that just makes you go, "Wow." Why does it make you do this you ask? Because it is the latest and greatest when it comes to TV and sure does prove its greatness.
Actually, it does not even need to prove its greatness. Its greatness just is. It just exists and people see it on their own. It is crazy to think back to how TV first began and to see the difference.

Voom is a network that provides satellite TV just like DirecTV and other companies. These companies provide a big variety of TV channels for viewers to watch.
On the normal TV stations there are not that many choices to choose from. The satellite TVreceiver is what allows you to see the channels and such that are sent from the satellite, on your TV. It looks like a DVD player kind of, but there is no need for you to insert a DVD in order to see what you want to see. You do not really need to do anything.
It is a box like the DVD player, but there is no where for you to insert anything. What goes into the box does not come from anything that you put in but from what the satellite antenna transmits to it from the satellite. All the inserting and stuff goes on where you cannot see it and when you are not aware.

Satellite TiVo is one of the newer technologies that have to do with satellite and it is very, extremely useful and good for use. It is not just satellite. It is satellite and then some.
Satellite TiVo is technology of its own. Normal satellite TV is just this: the satellite gives off signals that are read by an antenna that transmits the signals to the satellite receiver through a satellite cable, which then displays the information on the TV. That is pretty neat, but wait until you hear what TiVo is.

This was very exciting to all the people at that time because before then they had only the radio and TV was an entire new thing to them. After thousands of years of nothing and then a lot less years with radio, and now TV, they were amazed.
We look back on that time now and think, "Wow. One channel? That's nothing." But for them, it was huge. They could now watch things on a TV unlike they ever had been able to before. They used to be able to listen to things, but to actually see thing they had to be at the event. If they wanted to see anything even close to a TV show, they would have to go to the theater.
