Benefits of Mac over PC

What are the benefits of Mac over PC? This a question that really pertains to the different uses that a person would have with a computer. The reason is that both the Mac and the PC have their uses.

Here are the benefits you will find will either work for you, or you will want to check out the PC version of the computers. Though, starting with a Mac, you will see there is much to fall in virtual love with.

Security

When you are looking for ease of use with a computer, the Mac will meet your needs. They are set up with rock solid Linux based software that prevents changes from happening on accident.

With the unchangeable programming that the Mac has, it is nearly impossible for new or curious users to change the main functions of the computer. This helps with viruses, programs being deleted or altered and other security issues you would find in many computer settings.

Down time

Because of the solid programming of the Mac, you will find that there is significantly less downtime involved with repair, reprogramming, reformatting etc. This is great for many businesses, school settings and users that are new to the way the programming of a computer works.

The Mac is not perfect. There are some problems that can occur as with any other mass created technical device. However for the most part the problems are very minimal in comparison to the PC versions of the computer systems.

Sound and Graphics

It goes without saying that everyone knows that the Mac has a higher quality sound, and picture than the PC. If you are in to graphic design, pictures, virtual scrap booking, or anything that includes music, then the Mac is the way to go.

If you want to be able to play games that have higher graphic requirements, you will find that the Mac is a great system to get your imagination going.

Change
The Mac does not leave as much room for change over the PC, though this is a good thing for many. It is easy to go in and accidentally remove something you should not have. Overall there is a great amount of comfort in knowing that you will not need to be changing most of what is happening on the Mac because it is not necessary.

Price

The price comparison between the Mac, and the PC are very comparable. There are some cheaply created PC version computers that cost less. However, keep in mind that you will get what you pay for. In the long run, it is better to pay a little more to get a better product.

Software selection

Just about anything you can get for a PC you can get for a Mac. The reason that it appears to many that there may be limitation to the software, is that there is just a wider range of software out there in quantity for PC, not necessarily quality.

The software for a Mace can be purchased just about anywhere. The computer software stores of course will likely have a wider variety.

Platform compatibility

When you look at the compatibility between the Mac and the PC, you will find that there is a great deal of effort to create a better connection by the Mac creators. They want to create as smooth of a transition as possible for the users.

Like I said in the beginning, there are some great benefits of the Mac over the PC, if that is what you are looking for in a computer. Realize though that there are great things about a PC that would be attractive to many computer people also.

It will be up to you to find out if the benefits of the Mac over the PC are what you are looking for in a computer, or if you would rather the higher level of freedom in the PC.
