The internet is a great tool for doing lots of things. We can send emails, write on blogs and create cool new websites. It is a great device for having fun and doing business. Emailing is certainly one of the greatest benefits of the internet. The availabilty of a quick and painless form of electronic communication has greatly enhanced the abillity of people to communicate. Much of business and personal communication these days requires that you have access to the internet and to some form of email communication. Email allows us to more carefully analyze what we write and communicate. When we speak there is the human element, but we also rarely think carefully about what we say. Writing should allow us to communicate clearly, and with email we can do so frequently.

However, as we all know, there can be problems with email. Sometimes emails do not go where they were supposed to. They seem to disapear occasionaly into the dark. At other times you find that they come back with an `undelivarable' notice. There are lots of different errors occuring with email messages and sending them. Perhaps you have gotten one of these messages recently that reads "relaying denied from your location." What on earth could this mean? There are so many different error messages and so much computer jargon. It can be difficult to tell what your computer is trying to tell you these days. However, this particular message means something very specific.

If you receive a "relaying denied from this location" error message, it means that your mail server will not permit you to send emails in this manner. The server want to know who you are first-to know that you are actually someone who should be on their server. This is often done to help prevent spam and other harmful things from gaining access to email servers. So if you got this message your server did not recognize you. You are sending something from a location that is not allowed. How can you then configure your computer to allow you to utilize your email server?

If you are getting this message it means that you need to login to the server. One is tto email just shortly after you download your mail from the server. After downloading you are recognized by the server for a short period of time. However, after only a few minutes you will loose your opportunity to email out to other people. Another way to login is through your particular mail server. This is done in various ways depending on the server you use. Consult your server to find out what the best way to do this would be.

Hopefully this information should help you to determine what is going on when you are getting strange email messages. There are lots of different email messages you can get, but when you receive a "relaying denied from your location" message you now know what is going on.

Hopefully you will be able to easily take care of this problem. Obviously if you are receiving this message it means that you are not able to send your messages. Important communications are not being sent and received. Since you obviously need to get these messages to these people, it is important to solve the problem quickly and understand what is happening. With a few simple steps you should be able to avoid these sorts of errors in the future.
