One thing that many people tend to think about when it comes to technology is how they can actually use technology to help protect their offices. And when it comes to protecting your office with technology many people tend to focus on how you can protect your computers, but they don't think of other ways that you can actually use technology to help protect your office and the things inside of it. Basically what this means is that you can protect your business from employee theft and stranger theft but this will actually be done in different ways.

Here is a look at some of the ways that you can protect your office with technology.

Number one:
One thing that you can use is internet monitoring software. This kind of software is great for businesses because they are able to see what their employees were doing, what time they were doing it, as well as many other things. This helped to increase the businesses internet security because they were able to filter out certain websites that might have posed a higher risk of threats, such as transmitting spyware or adware, as well as transmitting viruses. Not to mention the fact that this software also records keystrokes, records conversations and many other things. All this does is help to increase your internet security.

The second thing that you should know about is firewalls. When it comes to firewalls what you are going to want to know is what they are for, what they do and how they work. Basically how a firewall works is that it is a program that is installed on your computer that blocks access to all of your computers open ports. What your firewall is doing is blocking any inside access to the internet unless the program or file has permission from you the users. The firewall is there to stop any kind of malicious traffic from entering your computer.

Antivirus software is basically a program that you are going to have to purchase separately for your personal computer or your business's network, to help keep your computer or network safe from malicious codes that can be installed on your computer. These types of malicious codes can include viruses, worms, Trojans, spyware among many other things. What a good virus protection program is going to do is to protect your business network from these types of threats either through scanning all incoming files as you receive them or performing a system scan at least once a week.

Number four:
Another way that you can use technology to help protect your business is through the use of security cameras. You can place security cameras or even hidden cameras inside your place of business to help deter theft from people who are coming into your place of business. And if you put security cameras up outside you can use video surveillance to make sure that people are not vandalizing your offices while nobody is there. Not to mention that you will save money because you won't have to hire a security guard to watch your offices overnight.
