Do you want to create great digital photos? There are a lot of things that you can do to create digital photographs, whether you are trying to go for fine photographic art, or if you simply want the photos of your cat to turn out well. Here are a couple of tips that you can use to create great digital photos of all different types!

  1. Use high resolution:The higher the resolution that you have for your photographs, the better the quality is going to be!For this reason, it is a good idea to get a memory card with a large storage capacity. If you take a picture at a lower resolution, it means that you will only be able to print very small sizes of your photo!Instead of this, use high resolution to ensure that your great photograph can get blown-up to the size that it deserves without looking pixilated!
  2. Capture your images as level as possible:Many digital photographers become disoriented when they try to frame and shoot their pictures using the LCD screen. The subjects in the pictures don't always look upright when this happens. For example, landscapes with trees often can end up with the trees looking slightly crooked or distorted. If you are trying to get your pictures as level as possible, but if you aren't sure if you are level, there is something that you still can do!Take a picture where you think the picture is level, and then cock the digital camera ever-so-slightly, and take another picture. It's good to take a couple of different pictures this way, but slightly cocking and adjusting the camera. You're bound to end up with a pretty level picture when you have a couple of different options to choose from!
  3. Use the macromode function:The up-close or macromode function is a really great way to take some fantastic digital photos. This function is usually found on the digital camera through its icon, a little flower.Turn on this function, and then get as close as you can to the subject of your photograph (well, as close as the camera will allow you to get!).Once the picture is framed to your liking, hold down the shutter button halfway so that the camera can focus. Then, when you see the green-light "in-focus" signal, push down on the shutter button the rest of the way to take the great digital photo! It's also good to remember that not everything will be in focus when you are in this extreme close-up mode - it's okay for your primary subject to be in sharp focus and the things in the background to be in a softer focus!
  4. Make the colors warmer in your pictures: If you are wanting warmer, richer colors in your digital photos, there is something that you can do to achieve this great effect! For example, if you are taking pictures outside on a sunny day, it is best to change your camera to the CLOUDY setting.By turning on this setting, it is as if you are placing a type of filter on your digital camera. The camera will compensate for the "cloudy" atmosphere by brightening and warming up the colors in the photograph. It especially increases the reds and yellows to be brighter and more colorful. So, if the subject matter of your picture is a red barn, and it's a sunny day outside, don't forget to set your camera to the "cloudy" function!By being creative this way, you'll be able to get the fantastic colors that you need to create a great digital photograph!
