Which is better when it comes to iPods, lots of storage, or small size?

Which is better when it comes to iPods, lots of storage, or smaller size? This really depends on the user. Some people feel that the smaller size is more convenient. Where, others feel that the storage capacity out weighs the weight and size of the larger units.

This subject is debated enough that Apple has now created the iPod mini that has the same storage space as the larger 5G iPod, but is much smaller and of course costs more.

Therefore, it is important to consider what your preference is in an iPod, before you make the decision on which to purchase. Here is some information that can help you decide what is better for you.

Consider the point that the smaller iPods do not have as much screen size in addition to function button size. For some people, this becomes a deterrent in the fact that they would think that smaller is better.

On the other hand, the smaller unit is lighter, smaller and much easier to carry when you are working out or jogging.

The minis tend to cost more. Face it; if it gets smaller, it will cost more. However, this is fair being that the manufacturers and designers had to put a great deal of work into the design and production of smaller products. They need to make their money some place.

People are what drive these manufacturers to come up with more convenient, more compact units that can carry more. However, if you consider that there is two to three times more storage on a slightly larger unit, it may be hard to go small.

When you consider that spending an addition $50 can get you 11G of storage space over a smaller size, many tech-savvy people would prefer the larger amount of storage space. This is a no brainer when you prefer the amount of music and diversity that comes along with having more storage capabilities.

Again on the other hand there are many people who have a simple list of music they enjoy listening to. The ones who rarely by a new music CD, that would be completely satisfied with the smaller unit, and less storage space.

For many customers of the iPods, the form, function and usability are the main concern. This is where a buyer needs to sit down and weigh out what will fit their needs. The current sales of the iPod minis are currently causing some concern by what some reviews have discussed. So with this in mind, you may say that more storage is important to many buyers. However, this could also be due to the increased price.
The new Nano can open the door to those that want smaller size and more space. There again is a price increase, however that is to be expected. You get what you pay for, and new technology always costs more.

The Nano appears to be selling with high results in sales and profit. So apparently the fact that you can get the best of both worlds tends to be attractive to the iPod users. So keep in mind that the biggest factor that comes to the decision of which is better, more storage space or smaller size, it really is that we want it all!

So as long as we are willing to fork out a little more money, Apple is willing to bring us what we want. However, everything has a cost.
