How this works is through assessing the forces that prevent you from making the changes, once they have been assessed you can create a plant to overcome those forces that will prevent you from making the change.

The good thing about this tool is that it can also identify any forces that will help your manufacturing plant make the needed changes. Knowing what is going to prevent and help you make a change will allow you to look at the proposed change to see if it is going to be viable for your company.
