As you use social media you will see the fast response rate that it can generate. People see the messages instantly and they go with them on their mobile devices. It's almost like using SMS marketing for the mobile use as you have instant connection with your customers and you will be able to keep in touch with them wherever they are. Having their undivided attention like this will enable you to stay in touch with them and it allows you to see a quicker response and to build stronger relationships with them.

Using social media is a great option as long as you can keep up with it. There are some people that sign up for the accounts and then they do not touch them again. If you want to become a success with social media you need to create an account and you need to be active on it. Customers will send messages and they want to get a response from you. The only way in which you will keep them as followers is to post often on the social media site. The more you post, the easier it will be for you to keep the customers forwarding the messages to their friends. Just know that the posts you have need to provide some type of value to the customers or they will not forward them on. The customers need to have a desire to not only read the messages but to do something about them and send them to their customers.

The other thing you need to look at when you are using social media is the balance of your posts. If you have too many posts, it can end up frustrating customers and they may not continue to read your posts or even subscribe to your feeds. You need to avoid flooding them with too many posts and being able to find the balance you need to make an impact with your customers.

As you use social media you want to use messages that are from you, not a robot. People use social media to connect; they don't want a computer system talking to them all the time. When you engage your customers with social media, it will help them to become loyal to your company so long as you are making the messages reach out to them as a human!
