However, if an easy method like this is not available, how will you possibly be able to crack the code? There are actually many more solutions than you might think. Here are a few of several:

1. Software. Believe it or not but there are certain types of software designed to crack passwords. Some software works like a separate operating system, allowing you to control Windows from outside. Because the Windows security measures are not in place while you use this software, you can change the administrator password, thereby allowing you access to your machine again. The only problem with these sorts of methods is that they can be quite expensive. Some software costs as much as four hundred dollars. However, if obtaining the information is truly a life and death situation, this might be a sure way to gain access to your computer again. This, however, only works for gaining access to a Windows login.


2. If you need to actually crack an application's password, you will need some other tools to do so. There are various types of software that can help you to do this. These programs are relatively inexpensive and effective. However, make sure that you are buying the right kind of software before you write the check. Password cracking depends largely on the operating system and program you are working with. If you buy softward not designed to crack a particular application's login you will not be able to get into it.


3. If this does not work, you might have to try a massive attack on the password. This type of password recovery is laborious, but it will probably work. This type of attack simply substitutes different numbers of letters into the password slots until it discovers the correct password. While this could take a very long time, it will most likely discover the password. The difference comes in depending on the amount of time required. A long password has so many variables that it could take a very, very long time to do this. However, if it is a short and simple password, a massive attack might work.
