Using a flash with your digital camera can get really confusing. If you don't use your flash right your pictures will not turn out very good.Sometimes when you are outside and the sun is shining you wont need to use the flash on your camera. When you are in a darker place you will need to use that extra light from your flash.Let's about some situations where you would need to use you flash and when you would not need to use your flash.

You are trying to take pictures of art work inside the house. The art works it in its frames and looks very presentable and ready to take pictures of.Should you use your flash or should you not use your flash? Well this is really us to you.If you use your flash you will risk the appearance of the flash in the glass in the frames. The flash might also distort your picture and you picture may not look the way you want it to.You could buy professional lighting equipment and that would help eliminate the flash effect, but professional equipment can get very expensive. You should experiment with using your flash and not using your flash, look at what picture comes out best.

Sometimes using a flash will be needed no matter what.If you are ever in the dark out side or in a dark party setting you will need to use your flash while you are taking pictures.Try using your flash and not using you flash and you will see that when you don't use your flash in really dark settings it will be very hard for you to see anything of what you were trying to take a picture of. In these cases you can leave your flash setting on the whole time you are there so you wont have to keep turning it on every time you take a picture.

Maybe you are trying to take pictures outside.Well most of the times the sun will offer all the light that you will need to create a perfect natural looking picture. But sometimes the sun is not always shinning. This is a situation when you would want to use a flash. On some cameras you will have a setting with a picture with a cloud covering a mountain or a sun. That setting is the one that you would use for an overcast day.

Sometimes the lighting in the room or outside can make the color of your pictures appear unnatural.Florescent lighting is the worst to take pictures in.Sometimes your camera will have a setting that helps black out that florescent light, this setting is sometimes called the "white light" setting, and it will automatically help reduce that bright florescent light.

No camera is guaranteed to give you a perfect picture every time, which is why they have so many setting that you can work with.Read your camera instructions they will have suggestion on how and why to use your flash setting and other settings on your camera.Digital cameras are great or trial and error, you can experiment with so many pictures and erase and keep whatever pictures you want.It is best to just experiment and find out what works and what doesn't work.
