What kind of security surveillance do you need?

Do you think you need some kind of security surveillance?Security surveillance will help you feel more safe whether you are at home or in your office. There are two main types of security surveillance: cameras and alarms. Here is more information and benefits to each type of security surveillance:

1. Cameras - There are many different cameras you can buy to help you feel safe.First you need
to decide if you want this camera to be seen or if you want it to be hidden ("spy camera"). There are many regular cameras you can get that can be used inside or outside. If you want to get one for outside, make sure it is water resistant and that it has night vision.Spy cameras are cameras that are hidden, so no one knows they are there. There are spy cameras for inside and outside use also. You can hide cameras in almost anything now days. You can hide spy cameras in sprinkler heads, smoke detectors, clocks, pens, radios, air-purifiers, picture frames, clocks, speakers, plants, and almost anything else you can think of.There are remote surveillance systems you can buy so you can look at your cameras from any computer. There are even programs that you can set up so you can check your cameras on-line.It is a good idea to get cameras that will record onto a video or DVD.These videos or DVDs can be used over and over again.

2. Alarms - There are a few different alarm system options. You can get an alarm system for when someone enters your house (or office). You can set this alarm system to beep or make some kind of sound, so you know that someone is inside. You can also set this same type of alarm system so that it makes all kinds of sound when someone enters and you are not home (or not at your office). This will usually scare them off.Another type of an alarm system is a perimeter protection system. This consists of motion sensors that you set up outside your house (or office). It will let you know when someone is on your property. When you are away, you can set up both of these alarm systems to callnumbers (usually two to four numbers) with a pre-recorded message.

Now that you have read through both the camera and alarm options for security systems, now you need to decide if you want a wired or wireless surveillance system. The wired one will need to be connected to cords and cables. It is hard to have a wired surveillance system outside because of the cord.It is hard to hide the cords, and plus you don't want the cords to get in the way of getting destroyed by something like a lawn mower. It is also risky to have a wired surveillance system inside. If you want the cameras and/or alarms to be a secret, the appearance of cords will not help.Wireless surveillance systems have many more advantages. They do not require cords and are easier to hide.

2. Outside or Inside - Decide if you want the surveillance for inside or outside (or both).
3. Spy or Visible - Decide if you want your surveillance visible, or if you want to hide it so no one can see it.
4. Wired or Wireless - Decide if you want the surveillance to be wired or wireless.
